the technical fog.

Start with the six-step routine, then use the answers below when a recommendation, reminder, weather result, or data copy needs more explanation.

02 · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How the app behaves.

Does VoltCue connect to or control my car or charger?+

No. The current product uses no vehicle login or Bluetooth/OBD connection. It gives you an estimate that you manually program and verify using the supported controls.

Does VoltCue guarantee the ending percentage?+

No. Battery condition, temperature, available power, voltage, losses, interruptions, taper, and other conditions can change the result. Verify the dashboard and timer every time.

Why does VoltCue ask for a morning result?+

The ending percentage shows what actually happened. A normal result helps that vehicle and charger profile adjust future recommendations gradually. Mark interrupted or unusual charges so they do not teach the estimate.

What does the weather feature send?+

If you add a supported U.S. ZIP, VoltCue converts it on the device into an approximate area coordinate. That coordinate and ordinary network request information reach NOAA/NWS for a forecast while planning and observations after a completed charge. VoltCue does not use GPS or make weather requests while charging.

What happens without internet or a ZIP?+

VoltCue remains usable and falls back to its general estimate. Missing weather must not block planning or saving a result.

What are Trip and Charging Health?+

Trip is a separate cautious one-time wait estimate; it never teaches normal home charging. Charging Health is a cautious pattern summary after enough clean sessions. Neither one diagnoses the vehicle, battery, outlet, wiring, cable, EVSE, or onboard charger.

What are the two data copies?+

Complete data copy contains every saved vehicle/profile, setting, and charging session. Spreadsheet copy is a readable charging-history table. Creating the full backup is supported; a customer self-service restore/import procedure is still being verified and is not promised yet.

How do I delete my information?+

Use Settings to delete the local setup and charging history. This cannot be undone. Copies you previously shared outside VoltCue must be deleted from those destinations separately.

03 · TROUBLESHOOTING

When something looks wrong.

The recommendation seems wrong

Confirm the active profile, battery choice, charger, timer interval, percentage, target, and ZIP. Exclude interrupted or unusual charges. Do not use an implausible estimate.

The reminder did not appear

Check notification permission and the device’s notification or focus settings. The plan still saves when permission is denied. A reminder never controls charging.

Weather is unavailable

Check the network and ZIP. NWS availability and local station data vary. VoltCue should show a general fallback rather than invent weather.

Charging equipment is hot or damaged

Stop charging if it is safe, follow the equipment instructions, and use a qualified electrician or service provider. VoltCue cannot determine whether the setup is safe.
